Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding

This course focuses on the theories and practices of conflict resolution and peacebuilding. Students will learn about the causes of conflict, conflict analysis, negotiation, mediation, reconciliation, and post-conflict reconstruction. The course examines the challenges of building sustainable peace in conflict-affected societies like South Sudan. Through case studies and role-playing exercises, students will develop skills in conflict analysis and resolution. The course emphasizes the importance of addressing root causes of conflict and building inclusive peace processes. By the end of the course, students will be able to analyze conflicts and design interventions for conflict resolution and peacebuilding.
